COMMUNITY-BASED RESEARCH & EDUCATION (CBRE)

1. Conducted by, with or for communities with civic, grassroots, or worker groups throughout civil society. Performed on behalf of businesses and the Federal government, or in pursuit of the intellectual interests of scientific/academic communities.

2. Contribution to a nation-wide community research system empowering through universally accessible mutual-learning.

EDUCATION

1. Lectures, seminars, and workshops on research methodology and conduct.

2. Workshops on regulatory requirements related to initiation and conduct of clinical trials, research on animals, and scientific integrity.

3. Workshops on clinical drug development focusing on drug discovery process, trial phases, respective responsibilities of the investigators and the Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), and interactions between investigators, IRBs, sponsors, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or its international counterparts.

4. Specialized courses, seminars, and workshops on aspects of medical specialties or/and scientific/technological disciplines.

CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION

VOLUNTEER MEDICAL WORK IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

1. Affiliated "Drive in Afrika Foundation": Annual drive since 2009.

2. Affiliated “Flying Samaritans" annual sojourns in various foreign countries (in 2009: Costa Rica, Kazakhstan, etc.) to provide free oral and maxilllo-facial surgery.
