strategic Plan

Our Approach

The following abridged Strategic Plan is a living document evolving as the Institute demonstrates and increases impact on the communities it serves.
OUR VISION: To continually advance the state-of-the-art in medicine and science.
OUR MISSION: To create and foster an intellectual environment that will catalyze and stimulate the cross-fertilization of medicine and science.
OUR GOALS & OBJECTIVES :

In Research

Identify novel methods and techniques of medicine and science that have common applicability; pursue, develop, and implement the identified areas; and publish original findings and discoveries in appropriate professional Journals.

In each of the medical specialties or sub-specialties of interest: Identify those natural or pathological phenomena that could give rise to new scientific understandings or concepts, develop them into established ones, and implement them by deriving a multiplicity of new technological concepts.
In each of the science specialties or sub-specialties of interest: Identify those situations or phenomena that could give rise to new medical understandings or concepts, develop them into established ones, and implement them by deriving a multiplicity of new medical practices.
For the converging areas of medicine and science: Pursue, develop, and implement the identified areas of common applicability: protect the intellectual  property acquired; translate the newly developed technologies to suitable commercial and industrial organizations for appropriate clinical and scientific applications; prepare and publish medical and scientific reports and publications; present new findings and discoveries at professional meetings and symposia (national, regional, international); prepare and submit novel education and research programs based on the above intellectual property, findings, discoveries, and publications; and seek financial support from all potential sources (private, governmental, foundations).

In Education

Present findings and discoveries: At local, national, regional, and international conferences and symposia that we may help organize; at workshops and seminars, and at think tanks and organizations of higher learning.
Offer lectures to the lay public and the community at large: On medical and scientific findings of the Institute.
Publish other educational materials (pamphlets, brochures, books) and Public Service Announcements (PSAs): Inform the public of important new findings and discoveries by Institute personnel and Correspondents.

In Community and Humanitarian Service

Apply advances to humanitarian service projects: To benefit local, national, regional, and international communities.
Design  a functional algorithm for an international humanitarian structure: To contribute in a dignified and efficient manner to the solution of health problems of medically under-served communities and countries.
Develop solutions adapted to local existing and emergent potentials.
Contribute to the coordination and optimization of the medico-scientific logistical support: To enable the right of access to health of medically under-served populations.
Submit “white papers”: To promote the enactment of  new or modified medical/scientific approaches without attempting to interfere, alter, modify or promote regulatory policies.
Offer the competence, expertise, and services of Institute personnel and Correspondents (national, and international) as Experts and Key Opinion Leaders in their respective fields.

Program Evaluation Practices

The Institute:

  • Must supply evidence of its social impact.
  • Use various methods to assess effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate community value.
  • Provide useful information.
  • Meet sponsors and public demands.
